Dovercourt

I rarely hear people refer to this neighbourhood as Wallace Emerson, or even Wallace Emerson Dovercourt Junction.  Most people know this as Dovercourt, or Dovercourt Junction.  This neighbourhood is a mix of residential and industrial and homes here are modestly sized and are a mix of detached and semi-detached brick homes.

The residents here are a cultural mix of different backgrounds who are known to include Portuguese, Italian and English. A large Ethiopian population is also present in the area. There are many shops along Bloor Street serving the Portuguese and Ethiopian communities.
